Mohammad Abdur Rahim, FCA has been serving as the Managing Director & CEO of Islami Bank Capital Management Limited since June 30, 2019 on deputation basis. Earlier, he served at Dekko Group as Asstt. Manager, Accounts and Finance, then he joined at Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited on 18.11.2004. During his banking Carrier, he was discharged his duties in Bank’s Training Academy as Faculty Member, various responsibilities in the Internal Control and Compliance Wing like departmental head of regular Internal Audit, Head of Information System Audit, Concurrent Audit and Foreign Exchange Audit Cell and Offsite supervision desk. Head of Government Revenue Department of the Bank under Bank’s Financial Administration Division and Head of Bank’s Integrated Supervision System Team.
Mr. Rahim is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). He has been serving at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) as faculty Member. He is a certified trainer in “Credit Analysis and Management for Examiners”. He also contributes in Bangladesh Bank Training Academy, Sonali Bank Staff College and some other Training Academy/Institute of the Bank and Insurance companies as a resource person.
In a long career, he attended different meetings, training and workshop on Capital Market, Money Market, Banking, Leadership, Accounting and Auditing. He is a Diplomaed Associate of the Institute of Bankers Bangladesh (DAIBB) and completed Islamic Banking Diploma (DIB) from Islami Bank Training & Research Academy (IBTRA). He obtained his Master’s Degree in Management from Jagannath University.
